Your phone stays yours
Phone Screen Mirror to PC: Cast Android to Chrome · Effective 10 October 2026
Phone Screen Mirror to PC ("the extension") shows the screen of your Android phone on your computer over a USB cable, and lets you control it with your mouse. This policy explains what the extension does with your information. The short version: everything stays on your own computer. We do not collect, store on servers, sell or share any of your data.
1. Information the extension handles
To work, the extension handles the following on your computer only:
- Your phone's screen and sound. The video and audio from your phone travel over the USB cable to the extension and are shown and played on your computer.
- Your mouse actions on the phone picture. Clicks, drags and scrolls are turned into taps and swipes and sent back to your phone over the same cable.
- Your PC microphone (optional). Only if you turn on "Add my PC microphone", Chrome asks for your permission, and the sound is mixed into your own recordings and Stream Mode on your computer.
- Your phone's model name. Shown in the window so you know which phone is connected.
None of this is sent to us or to anyone else. The extension does not connect to any server on the internet.
2. Information saved on your computer
The extension saves your settings with Chrome's built-in storage on your computer: picture quality, frame rate, sound choice, phone frame style, Stream Mode layout and overlay text, and the name of the last phone you connected. You can delete it any time by removing the extension.
Screenshots and recordings are created only when you click those buttons, and are saved to your own Downloads folder.
3. What we do not do
- We do not collect personal information, browsing history, website content, location or analytics.
- We do not use accounts, cookies, advertising or tracking.
- We do not sell, rent or transfer your information to anyone, and we do not use it for advertising, credit decisions or any purpose other than showing your phone on your computer.
- We do not read your web pages. The extension has no access to the websites you visit.
4. USB access and permissions
The extension asks for only one Chrome permission, storage, to remember your settings. USB access uses Chrome's own device picker: Chrome shows a list and you choose your phone. On the phone, Android asks you to allow the connection. You can remove access any time in Chrome's site settings, or by turning off USB debugging on your phone.
To capture the screen, the extension starts the open-source scrcpy server (Apache License 2.0) on your phone over USB. It is included inside the extension, is not downloaded from the internet, and stops when you disconnect.
5. Chrome Web Store User Data Policy
The use of information received by this extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
6. Children
The extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any information from anyone.
7. Changes to this policy
If the way the extension handles information ever changes, we will update this page, change the date above and explain the change in the extension's release notes before the new version is published.
