Flight Price Tracker & Cheapest Fare Finder · Version 1.4 · Last updated 10 October 2026
Flight Price Tracker & Cheapest Fare Finder ("the extension") is a Chrome extension that compares what airlines and travel agencies charge for a flight, shows the cheapest first and alerts you when a tracked trip gets cheaper. This policy explains what data the extension handles and how. In short: your data stays in Chrome on your device, and nothing is sold or sent to us.
What the extension handles
- Your searches: origin, destination, dates, number of travelers and cabin class that you enter, or that the extension reads from the address of a supported flight results page you are viewing.
- Prices: the flights and the prices shown by airlines and travel agencies for your search, read by the extension in your own browser.
- Your settings and tracked routes, plus a price history for each route you track.
The extension does not collect your name, email address, payment details, passwords, booking references or any account information.
Where it is stored
All of this is stored only in Chrome on your device (chrome.storage). The extension has no server and no account. Nothing is sent to the developer or to any third party, and the data is never sold or used for advertising.
Which sites the extension contacts
To check prices, the extension opens your search on Google Flights in your own browser, exactly as if you had opened it yourself. It selects the cheapest flights to show their booking options; it never books anything or enters personal details. Google Flights receives the same information it would get from a normal visit, under its own privacy policy. When you open an offer, you go to that airline's or agency's site, which has its own privacy policy.
Your currency
To show prices in your currency, the extension reads your computer's time zone and browser language inside Chrome. This happens on your device only and is not sent anywhere. You can choose a different currency at any time.
Exchange rates
To rank prices shown in different currencies, the extension downloads public exchange rates from open.er-api.com about twice a day. That request contains no information about you or your searches. If it fails, built-in rates are used.
Checking tabs
Prices are checked in a minimized window that the extension opens and closes itself. In those tabs only, images, video and fonts are not downloaded, and the page is told it is visible so results finish loading. Pages you open yourself are not changed.
Your choices
- Delete your price history and tracked routes at any time: open the extension's settings and choose Clear price history and tracked routes.
- Turn off alerts for any tracked route in the Tracked tab.
- Uninstalling the extension removes all of its stored data from Chrome.
Children
The extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly handle personal information from them.
Limited Use
The use of information received by the extension adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Changes to this policy
If the extension's data practices change, this page will be updated and the change will be shown in the extension before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
